Theatertimes was launched online in 2006 as a first attempt at providing a few theater reviews each month by Cristofer Gross, a former theater publicist attempting to jump the fence and somehow be critical of artists he had often worked with and in some cases been friends.
The pivot point was a play at the very theater in which he had worked for the better part – in some ways the best part – of 22 years. It not only featured several actor friends and a favorite director one of its signature publicity shots was his, as he had been called in to help in a pinch.
